On March 20, during Foundation Day, the John Cockerill Foundation presented the first Builders Awards, honoring projects that demonstrate purpose, impact, and commitment within the John Cockerill Group.
Through these awards, the Foundation aims to recognize initiatives that fully embody its values: humanity, solidarity, responsibility, and sustainability. This inaugural edition highlighted inspiring projects led by employees determined to make a difference in their work environments, communities, and fields of action.
A highlight of sharing and celebration
Foundation Day brought together the entire John Cockerill employee community involved in these projects, in a spirit of dialogue, discovery, and celebration. The event took on a global scale thanks to the ambassadors of the John Cockerill Foundation.
All over the world—in Belgium, France, Brazil, India, and the United States—breakfasts were organized locally, creating opportunities for people to meet, exchange ideas, and share experiences. These convivial gatherings brought employees together around the values of the Foundation and the Group. Together, they simultaneously discovered the winners of the Bâtisseurs Awards, which illustrate the diversity and richness of the initiatives supported by the Foundation.
Every day, the Foundation strives to rally all available resources around itself and its values. Foundation Day once again served as a fine illustration of its ability to bring people together across borders, drawing on a community of fully committed ambassadors.
A Movement Set to Grow
With this inaugural edition, the Builders Awards are establishing themselves as an event destined to become an annual tradition. The John Cockerill Foundation thus reaffirms its commitment to supporting, recognizing, and accompanying those who actively contribute to building a better world for tomorrow.
