Charlène and Manon, the new ambassadors for the John Cockerill Foundation

23 April 2026

The John Cockerill Foundation welcomes two new dedicated ambassadors: Charlène and Manon. Through their backgrounds, their convictions, and their vision of the role of ambassador, they embody a collective spirit focused on action, purpose, and impact.

By joining the community of ambassadors, they help strengthen the Group’s role in society and promote the values championed by the Foundation. For Charlène, becoming an ambassador is a natural extension of her community and humanitarian involvement.

“I’ve always loved getting involved in meaningful projects. When I discovered the Foundation, I saw an opportunity to get involved in my professional environment.”

Manon shares a similar motivation, centered on the alignment between personal values and concrete actions:

“I identify with the way the Foundation operates: with purpose and real impact. These are concrete actions, not just a vision.”

Both emphasize the importance of moving from intention to action. Within the John Cockerill Foundation, ambassadors play an essential role as liaisons and connectors between initiatives and employees.

Charlène defines this role as an active link between actions and people:

“Being an ambassador means highlighting the Foundation’s actions and relaying needs and suggestions. ”

Manon emphasizes a committed and participatory approach:

“It means representing the Foundation authentically, but above all participating, proposing ideas, and driving things forward at your own level.”

The values of the ambassador charter resonate strongly with both employees. Charlène highlights a comprehensive and coherent vision:

“All these values resonate with me because, together, they contribute to a better world.”

Manon highlights three fundamental pillars:

  • People, at the heart of every action
  • Commitment, the driving force behind taking action
  • Responsibility, the key to lasting impact

These values shape how they operate on a daily basis. Charlène, for her part, is particularly interested in issues related to overall well-being:

  • individual well-being
  • dignified and secure living conditions
  • respect for the environment and all living things

Manon, meanwhile, emphasizes the drivers of the future:

  • education
  • equal opportunity
  • youth

Two complementary approaches that reflect a shared ambition: contributing to a positive and sustainable impact. Beyond individual commitment, the ambassadors highlight the value of the community. For Charlène, this dynamic fosters internal cohesion:

“This community builds connections between colleagues from different fields and strengthens the corporate culture.”

Manon adds a dimension of global impact:

“It shows that the Group can play a strong societal role, beyond its industrial activities. ”

The ambassador community thus becomes a lever for internal and external transformation. Through their journeys, Charlène and Manon illustrate the mission of the John Cockerill Foundation’s ambassadors.

Their stories reflect a shared belief: that individual commitment, even on a small scale, can contribute to lasting collective change.
